THE KING OF THE SEASON – COLORFUL SUEDE
Today I’ve got a riddle for you. What is it: mat, nice when you touch it, had you can dye it yourself? You know already? YEAH! It’s His Majesty SUEDE 😀 Why „his majesty”? Because he’s supposed to be the king of the fall-winter season! He even dethroned upper leather and made a big comeback. It’s gonna rule the looks for the upcoming month. Well, in a way it appeared already in the summer, but it is now that it’ll stay in the closets for good. Macademian Girl is 100 % and very enthusiastically IN as well! 😉
Accompanied by simple cuts, tassels and patchworks it will remind us about the crazy ‘70s. Cognac, red, camel and beige are the shades that will be the most a la mode in the second half of the year. I wouldn’t be myself if I didn’t show you the more colorful incarnation of suede! 😉 Before you start shopping, remember a few important things about it – you’ll find a little maintenance ABC below. Check out also my suede must haves, which I collected especially for you 😉
SUEDE ABC, WHAT YOU HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT IT
A. KINDS OF SUEDE: Like every leather, suede can be either natural, or faux. We divide the first into proper suede and nubuck. Suede has longer hair and is “downy”, it’s created by polishing the inner part of leather. Nubuck reminds velvet more, as it’s polished on the top side. Artificial suede is often called alcantara and mainly purses are produced from it. It’s a combination of very persistent polyester with poliuretan, which provides softness to the fabric.
B. MAINTENANCE: People say that suede gets destroyed quickly. Don’t let yourselves get carried away by panic! 😉 Proper care will allow us to be satisfied with it for a long time, or until… it stops being in 😉 Above all, before the first use one should impregnate it with a specific formula. Shoes especially, as they’re the ones that are vulnerable to the adverse influence of sun and rain. One can get a proper perservative in most shoes shops. Remember that in winter it’s best to choose the ones that’ll protect against humidity and dirt, and not antidust ones (these will be a better choice for summer). When your suede love gets accidentally dirty, little spots can be erased with a rubber (sometimes called a sponge) – exactly like you used to do at school, correcting orthography in your notebooks 😉 Bigger spots can be dealt with renovator (don’t mix up with Terminator 😉 ). It perfectly fights visible dirt: will make it disappear, refresh the color and restore water resistant properties.
C. DYING: I have to admit that it starts my artist’s instincts! 😀 You can always decide to “repaint” the pair of old light suede shoes, which are a bit damaged (or you’re simply bored with them) darker 😉 It takes two or three hours and the shade is beautiful and saturated. Perfect, rights? I personally am thriled about everything associated with fashion recycling! Just remember to put shotrees, or old newspapers inside the shoes, so that they’d catch the color equally on the whole surface. Before you start eh fun, remember to protect the surroundings with overlay. It’ll make your house look like a painter’s workshop, but you’ll avoid irreversible damages 😉 You will find a detailed instruction on the dying process HERE and I devote myself to admiring the beautiful shades of purplish red, red, cobalt, and encourage you to watch the review I prepared. Well … *.*
1. BLOUSES AND VESTS
The 70s are in, so tops are plain and minimalistic. Thanks to that they’re a perfect background for expressive jewelry! We can go crazy teaming them with huge shiny Svarovski necklaces, or colorful hanging earrings. Vests are not only fashionable, but also very practical: when it’s cold they warm your kidneys and protect you against cold 😉 Team them, for example, on a long oversize shirt and put a suede belt in the waist.

2. JACKETS
You can choose a biker jacket, a trench coat, or a cowboy jacket. Actually, suede took over all kinds of fall coats. The fabric plays the first fiddle, and it’s the cut that we adjust to the occasion and our mood. A perfect choice is, for example, a cowboy jacket with tassels teamed with trousers and short boots. A coat with a waist belt literally screams for over the knee boots! And I am the one who literally has to have something turquoise, violet or mint! 😉

3. SKIRTS AND SHORTS
I decided to assemble dresses and shorts on a common collage. When it’s warm we wear them without anything, and when it gets colder we go for thick tights or high boots! 🙂 As far as shorts are really short, more and more often dresses are worn midi (half ankle). Choosing a dress you have to remember about high heels, well, unless you’re very tall and very lucky and want to look a bit shorter 😉 The midi comeback doesn’t mean that we forget about minis: wear them as often as you can! Especially like on Gucci shows – trapeze cut and with a row of vertical buttons at its front.

4. DRESSES
Similarly to blouses, dresses have plain and classic cuts: princess dress (a short one, without sleeves) or chemise (a shirt one with a belt in the waist) and trapeze bottoms. That makes them perfectly match vests, furs and colorful thin scarves entwined around the neck and set loose. Suede and suede like fabrics are a bit stiff, so they perfectly cover all folds and extra, fall-winter pounds. What could you want more? 😉

5. PURSES
You prefer to make friends with the trends step by step and show that you know them only with a delicate accent? 😉 A new bag would do perfectly! A camel one with tassels is a total hit of the season, which is loved both by celebrities and bloggers (among others Agnieszka Szulim, Olivia Palermo and Jessica Alba). Yet Master Yoda (if he had an idea about fashion) would say: ONLY COLOR SAVE YOU CAN 😉 Be courageous then and reach for amaranthine, cobalt and yellow! Combine such a „heavy” bag with airy silk or enameled leather – a bit teasing and original like Alberta Ferretti 😉

6. BELTS
They’re everywhere! Worn in a classic way, with your trousers or in your waist accentuating it, and matching the dress. My idea for this fall is: We put a mono-coloristic coat on, (a mustard one, for example), entwine our neck with a huge multi-coloristic scarf, let its ending fall down loose and use a wide suede belt in the waist. You’ll be warm, fashionable and practical – 3in1! 😉

5. BELT Mango | 6. BELT Yumi | 7. BELT Esprit | 8. BELT Extasy
7. SHOES AND BOOTS
Before the fall foul weather starts to the full, one should make use of suede ballerinas, or (an option for the seasoned ones) stilettos 😉 Nude or light brown, worn on bare feet would beautifully make us look slimmer and make our legs look longer. The colorful ones will make our fall looks livelier and give them an energetic kick 😉 Just imagine a chocolate suede skirt combined with cobalt boots – pure beauty!

8. JEWELRY
Suede looks perfectly accompanied by shiny stones and crystals. Don’t hesitate to wear matt and sparkling bracelets on the same wrist, or suede earrings with glamour necklaces. Don’t be scared of such combinations, as they are the ones who make it all interesting 😉 If you like boho chic, I’ve got good news for you: the trend is extremely fashionable both in winter and in fall, together with straps, leather earrings and bracelets.

9. HATS AND HEADPIECES
You know what I love Fall most for? That almost everyday one has an excuse to wear a… hat! 😉 It protects you against sun when its sunny, and when it’s cold it’ll warm your head 😀 Well, hats aren’t often suede, but felt and wool are so similar that I couldn’t resist – I had to show them to you! The only obstacle for big brimmed headpieces is the wind, but no worries: in that case a headband or a turban created accordning to my hints in #StepByStep would be a perfect choice 😉 C’est Chic!

*Dears, I apologize in advance for inconveniences cause by price and stock changes. Please be understanding, get inspired and look beautiful! 🙂
rewelacyjne kompendium modowe na sezon jesienno-zimowy,
Cieszę się!! :))
Chyba już kiedyś to pisałam, ale powinnaś mieć swoją gazetę, albo prowadzić polskiego Vogue. Gdziekolwiek by było Twoje nazwisko – kupowałabym! 😀
Awwww!! Nawet jeśli pisałaś, to coś takiego zawsze jest największa nagrodą za przygotowany material!! Powtarzaj sie do woli! DZIEKUJE!! 😀 :*
Chyba zacznę kochać jesienne powroty do szkoły… Szczególnie z Twoimi radami. 🙂
