Just pure circumstances, or… the Agent? In the third episode our task was to overcome our fear of heights, fear of orthography, and were allowed to take turns only in one direction while wandering around Johannesburg. Watch the video, and look for the suspicious one with me!
DAY 5 – WALL WALK AND SPELLING GAME
I survived bungee jumping, and had the opportunity to test my sense of direction just like Kevin Costner from “Die Hard”. But it was the day 5 of our struggles in “Agent – Stars” show that proved that it’s not everything that’s ahead of us! The first task of the episode was a walk in the very heart of Johannesburg. Quite an incredible one, as we had to walk down a 70m high wall. Even though my legs were shaking a bit, and my heart was beating like crazy I proved that not only “Szpaki (Starling – the name of one of the participants) can fly high” 😉 In this task reason was more important than the fact if we decide to go down or not. Monika Mrozowska must have lost it for some time, as se decided to go all in, and risking all of our money she bet that everyone will do the task. I wouldn’t accept the mission of convincing anybody to go down the wall for “common good”. I’d rather cheer the ones who want to overcome the fear on their own, just like Maciek Sieradzky, my friend 😉 Unfortunately, we lost the money, because Sylwia, who did perfectly in the previous episode, decided to resign in this one. As you could have spotted, she wasn’t the one to blame by the group, it was Monika. After Sylwia’s decision Tomek and Hubert didn’t have a chance to go down the wall anymore. But the very same day it turned out that not only a walk 70m above the ground can leave you with extreme experiences 😉
The tasks in „Agent – Stars” aren’t accidental: some need a quick pace, some determination. Intuition and a solid dose of reason are crucial.
The second task was a spelling game – not to get a good mark, though, but to receive 6 thousand zloty! We also had to pick how many mistakes the ones who didn’t manage to get down the wall did. It turned out that Polish and appearances may be deceiving 😀 Tomek proved that he was more diligent at school than the group thought, just like Hubert, in whom not everyone believed equally. Kamila and I were sure that such a well-read person couldn’t have made more than 10 mistakes, but it was Joanna who convinced the group that he must have made more. This lack of faith in Hubert’s orthographic skills seemed really weird to me. Who knows, if it’s not the Agent behind it? It’s better to keep your eyes open in this game!
DAY 6 – OFFSITE WITH NO MAP
The next day our trust towards the others was tested. Divided into two teams, and basing on Antek’s and Joanna’s hints, we were to move through the town into the direction of their headquarters, looking for envelopes with money on our way. We were not sure whether someone will give them to us, or whether we’ll have to win them, climbing on a skyscraper, for example 😀 The navigators had a map in front of them, we – a mixture of unknown streets which we have seen for the first time in our life. To make it harder: one group was allowed to turn only left, and the other – right. Both of the groups go tan hour to fulfill the task, along with mobile phones to contact the headquarters. We were following the directions and looking for the money. Luckily, you couldn’t have missed the locals wearing the show’s T-shirts 😉
While doing the tasks you need the luck and nature of a real poker player. For the sake of good fun, it’s sometimes better to bite one’s tongue.
All of us fulfilled the mission, but none managed to get to the headquarters without a problem. Most of the participants blamed Asia… No wonder – she created havoc another time, confusing the hints she was giving. I passed the „Agent knowledge test” this time – and I have to say, that it was much less demanding than the orthography test 😀 Well, it’s either women’s intuitions, or a poker players’ talent 😉 But that’s not the end of fun: entering the headquarters Michał spotted 4 jokers. He was the first one to get in, and was sure that I saw them as well and that he took them straight from under my nose. So he decided to share with me quietly, and gave one to me. A Joker for keeping quiet – quite a nice exchange 😉 Find out what happens next on the TV, and on Player.pl
