Every woman needs a break from wearing pants – so do I 😀 I always go for something special when I have a big event planned. Today I went for an oversize vest like dress. Its boudoir character reminds the outfits of old Hollywood stars. A plain but glamorously shining dress like this one was worn by, for example, Rita Hayworth in the cult “Gilda” movie in 1946. She looked totally stunning! 😉 The simple style of my dress also contrasts with the shine of the sequins, exposing the body in a subtle yet sensual way. Its dashing shine is dimmed by powder trimming and enhanced with a golden chain belt that I used to accentuate my waist at the same time. I also went for contrasts when it comes to jewelry. Despite its minimalistic form, it’s got an ethnic spirit – the necklace is decorated with a tassel and a stone and the bracelet looks as if it was carved out of metal. As it’s an evening outfit, my stiletto sandals are the main accessory. Their color, marsala, looks great teamed with the warm copper color scheme and my pink girly manicure. If I went for a sophisticated updo, it would spoil the general outcome, that’s why I went for natural surfer waves, which only seem to look great only with jeans shorts 😉
